Donna

Meet Donna, a woman whose life took an unexpected turn when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Despite the challenges, Donna's unwavering faith and positive outlook have defined her journey. “Your biggest struggles can be your biggest blessings,” she often says, radiating hope and encouragement to everyone around her.

Donna describes herself as a mom, wife, daughter, aunt, godmother, best friend, and even a dog mom. But above all, she is a woman deeply rooted in her faith. “The most important part about me is that I love God. I am learning about Him, and I am here to let you know He can heal you,” she shares. For Donna, this journey is not just her story—it’s God’s story. “Trust in Him. He gives you trials for a reason. This struggle you may be facing is an invitation to build your relationship with God.”

Her positivity is contagious, as is her gratitude for the simple joys of life. “I love the beach, the ocean, and all the beautiful creatures in it. I love baseball, sports, and being outside. I love to be alive, to breathe, and to cherish my family and friends.” Donna encourages everyone to embrace their challenges as opportunities for growth, saying, “Revamp that roadblock into a new path that you need to take. Put God first. When you wake up, say, ‘Thank You, God!’”

Donna acknowledges that life isn’t perfect, but her faith guides her through every step, forward or backward. She believes that by trusting God and staying active, while also allowing time for rest and healing, one can find strength and purpose. “Reflect and embrace the lessons in front of you. You have the opportunity to learn so much about God, yourself, and your health. Life is precious and meaningful.”

As a family friend, we at Fightstrong Foundation were honored to step in and support Donna during her journey. We donated cold capping treatments to aid her recovery and provided an additional gift card to Whole Foods to help support her family’s needs.

Through her faith, Donna has continued to inspire those around her, embodying the words of Isaiah 43:2: "When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you."

Donna’s message to others is clear: “Breast cancer or any disease can change your life for the better. You can do anything with God. YOU GOT THIS! Always know you are never alone.” Her gratitude shines through in her reflection: “Thank You, God, in the name of Jesus Christ.”

For Donna, her journey is one of faith, love, and transformation, proving that even in the storm, God is always present. We love you and we will continue to pray for you!
